Our Story

Every road led back to Western Colorado

Pastor Justin Atchley's path to Olathe wasn't a straight line — it's the through-line of how this congregation became what it is today.

01.

Raised in the valley

Justin Atchley was raised in Delta, Colorado — Western Slope roots that would eventually bring him full circle, back to the community that shaped him.

02.

Years of ministry, from the Front Range to Pennsylvania

Before Olathe, Justin and his wife Megan ministered in Golden and Fort Collins on Colorado's Front Range, and as far away as Trafford, Pennsylvania — building years of pastoral experience long before the call home.

Coming home, July 2014

Justin and Megan moved back to Western Colorado in July of 2014, and Justin took the pulpit at Olathe Assembly of God — thrilled, in his own words, that God had led him back home.

Today

A mission built on one verse

Olathe Assembly of God exists to disciple people and equip them to reach their community — a congregation focused on more than the typical idea of a Christian, but on knowing Christ and following Him.

"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death." — Philippians 3:10

That verse isn't decoration here — it's the church's stated ultimate goal, in Pastor Justin's own words: to build and maintain personal relationships with Jesus Christ.

Imagine What's Next

Where this could go from here

A facelift is just the beginning. Here are a few possibilities we could build alongside a congregation like Olathe Assembly of God.

01

An RSVP link for the Food Pantry & events

Imagine a family tapping one link to know this week's Food Pantry hours or reserve a spot at a church event — no phone tag, just a confirmation text back and a clear headcount for the church office.

02

A weekly update that writes itself

Imagine this Sunday's message, Food Pantry hours, and any prayer requests going out automatically every week — pulled together from what's already happening, so it never falls on one volunteer's shoulders.

03

An after-hours question box

Imagine a visitor exploring the site at 9 PM getting a real answer about service times or the Food Pantry immediately — with Pastor Justin only looped in when a real person needs to follow up.

These are ideas, not features of the current site — a glimpse of what a technology partner could build alongside the ministry that's already here.

Can't be there in person?

Every Sunday morning service streams live to the church's Facebook page — join the fellowship from wherever you are.
